History

History and Background of the Medical Center
Montclair Hospital Medical Center was originally founded by a group of community physicians in 1973. The facility was later purchased by National Medical Enterprises. In August of 1994, Pacific Physicians Services, Inc. of Redlands, assumed ownership. In February 1996, ownership changed hands again when MedPartners of Birmingham, Alabama, a nationwide leader in the provision of physician-directed and patient-centered healthcare, purchased the entire PPS network. The facility changed ownership in January 2001 to AHMC, Inc.

The last time our facility changed ownership was in July 2006 to its current operator Prime Healthcare Services, Inc. Other hospital affiliates operated by Prime Healthcare Services include Chino Valley Medical Center, Sherman Oaks Hospital along with the Grossman Burn Center and Dessert Valley Medical Center.

Since the arrival of Prime Healthcare, MHMC has flourished in re-establishing itself as the premiere hospital of the surrounding communities. Under the company's new direction, providing a high standard of care within a nurturing environment is promoted through the Customer Care Chain Program --a service-oriented program devoted to achieving 100% customer satisfaction from patients, visitors, physicians, and staff.
